MMilani.com's RSS Feed

MMilani.com now features an RSS feed of the latest updates. Subscribers will be able to read commentary summaries, notices of upcoming events, and other information as it's added. I've included some background information on RSS below to get you started. Once you've subscribed, please let me know what you think about this feature.

What is RSS?
RSS provides a way for you to keep abreast of the latest updates on your favorite websites, including Yahoo!, CNN, and, of course, MMilani.com. With RSS you don't have to visit each website to see what's new. Instead, you simple subscribe to a website's RSS feed and updates are sent to you so you can read them at your convenience.

For a more detailed explanation of RSS take a look at this page on CNET.com.

What about SPAM?
Unlike e-mail lists or newsgroups, you control which RSS feeds you subscribe to. You see only what the site publishes, so you don't have to wade through a ton of off-topic messages, or risk opening up your e-mail address to even more SPAM. Should you change your mind, unsubscribing is simple, fast, and, unlike preving SPAM, it really works.

This sounds great, how do I get started?
To subscribe to RSS feeds, you'll need an RSS Aggregator or RSS Reader. This software allows you to easily subscribe to (and manage) RSS feeds. Many people prefer web-based RSS programs because they are accessible from any computer and usually free, but there are also downloadable RSS programs for most operating systems. You'll find links to several popular RSS programs below:

Web-based: Desktop Readers

Ok, I've got an RSS Reader. How do I subscribe?
If you're using one of the Web-based RSS Readers mentioned above, simply click the appropriate link below:
Subscribe with Bloglines
Subscribe with My Yahoo
Subscribe with NewsGator

Otherwise, follow your Reader's directions on adding a new feed. When asked for the link, enter http://blog.mmilani.com/feed/.

I haven't seen a new update in a while. Is something wrong with my computer?
Most likely your computer is working fine. Remember, I only update the RSS feed when I add something to the website or have something to share. Depending on what's going on, this may only be once each month when I post the new commentary.
