Episode 120 – Holiday Gifts au Naturale

First to get you in the mood for the season:

And a  disclaimer: No animals were harmed during this photo session even though you would think from the expressions on Ollie (left) and Frica (right) that they were suffering and had suffered for a long period of time. These are pictures I took last year—I didn’t have time this year—the ordeal lasted less than 5 minutes per dog, and we celebrated with low-fat vanilla yogurt when we finished. I can’t actually swear to that because it’s been a while, but that seems like the most likely human-canine celebratory ritual in this household.

Because the holiday season has been busier than usual for multiple reasons this year, that made the gift described in this podcast even more special for me. In addition to giving me a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it reminded me that sometimes the best gifts cost us nothing more than the time it takes to stop and appreciate them.

  1. Thank you. I needed that. I’ll bet I’m not the only one!

  2. Merry Christmas to you Mryna! Jeannie was just talking about this last week on our show – how to be present and enjoy those gifts. Thank you for sharing, it brightened my day and it was a true gift you just gave us.

    Happy Holidays!
