There be whales out there
While you may have forgotten or hoped I would, this week’s podcast considers the wonderful world of whale earwax. Granted, Matthew Berger’s Newsweek article gets into the nitty-gritty of whale ear plugs far more than I do. But on a hot humid recording day when my power company heads into critical energy conservation mode even as the first of two political conventions belches enough hot air to fuel a small planet, I find the energy-efficient elegance of cetacean earwax hard to resist.
