I readily admit that thinking about the hardships endured by transport animals has cost me some sleep. So have the problems some of them have adjusting to human-centered environments. Ditto for owners struggling to come to grips with these new additions to their homes. Sometimes it’s hard to decide who was less prepared: the animal or the owner. Or me.
But in the midst of this, I’ve also found reasons to give thanks. This podcast considers some of these.
