What pops into your mind when you think about women who sleep with their dogs? This podcast explores some thoughts that occurred to me while reading two studies of this human-animal population from a human-animal bond perspective.
However, as I edited this podcast later, Arthur Conan Doyle’s now famous bit of transcendent literary dialogue popped into mind yet again. Sometimes referred to as “the curious incident of the dog in the night-time”, it reminds us that what isn’t said is sometimes as revealing as what is. Sometimes this may be true of what human-animal relationship studies reveal about human-human ones too.
